Location: Hartwell Church of Christ, Hartwell

This event is in the past.

In this workshop students will create and felt 3-dimensional intricate constructions and foldings. Andrea will guide the students through the whole process beginning with reading a folding pattern, folding a paper model, and transferring it into felt.  Besides this Andrea will show students how to build up sharp, clear edges and points.  This universal technique can be used for a number of other applications.

Experience with felting is required.  The ability to have fun with contructive projects is helpful.  Mathematical understanding is not necessary.

Andrea's creative interest is primarily in abstract, reduced and form based spatial art.  In her current artistic work, the construction take first place, though the changeability and liveliness of the finished object are also important.  Andrea loves to explore felt's potential for spatial creation.

A materials fee may be payable to the tutor direct, but it will not be more than $25, we will provide more details nearer the time.

This is a member only workshop.  If it is full a waiting list will be created.  E-mail the contact below if this is the case.
